Over 175 attendees at the PAN forum on public health and policies united to create a vision and a comprehensive list of actions, tasks and legislative support needs. Good Juju designed the meeting process and collaborative tools including live graphic recording, interactive wall displays and custom templates.
The end result: a 4 foot tall “walking mural” storymap which made impressive presentation to the Hawaii State legislature and prompted the successful adoption of critical policies to support health in Hawaii.
The final artwork represented all critical elements and included input from all the stakeholders and event attendees. Since the presentation, virtually all initiatives requested in this storymap have been enacted.
The Hawaii State Department of Health needed to bring a statewide coalition of over 170 partners together to identify next steps and critical policies necessary for their success.
Then, they needed to command the attention of lawmakers and the community to gain support and bring the initiatives to life.
Unite groups with hands-on tools.
Templates enabled participants to collaborate in small groups and harvest relevant input in a consistent format.
Good Juju also provided facilitation tools and basic facilitation training to larger group work at the event that included initial compilation and integration all comments into larger unified pieces.
Create a big picture that includes everyone.
Good Juju then worked with the department’s leadership team to compile the input and create finish art. Logos of all participating organizations were included, and copies of the map were sent to all to re-affirm the collaborative partnership.
