Somxay Thammas (pronounced “Somsai Thomas”) is a multi-disciplined designer with over 20 years of professional experience in brand marketing and design. He has led the production of countless print projects, collateral materials development, logo and branding as well as signage and environmental media for a wide range of clients in the corporate arena. He specializes in branding, identity systems and packaging, as well as digital media, web design and development. His work has been recognized with numerous awards in both advertising and design.

Somxay was born in Laos but grew up in the United States. A graduate from H.P. Baldwin High School on Maui and the University of Hawaii-Manoa, Somxay holds two degrees – a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Masters of Education in Secondary Art.  An advocate for promoting progressive and innovate design, Somxay is committed to developing young talent as a professor of design. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter and enjoying all the things life on Maui has to offer.
