Kevin Vaccarrello

Technology Officer, Data/Systems Consultant, Sustainability Consultant

(Founder, SustainAbility and CEO, SteadyBlaze Digital Services)

Kevin brings a holistic mindset and crazy mad tech skills to the Good Juju team.  As a serial socio-ecopreneur Kevin is constantly blazing new trails combining technology, sustainability, and community grassroots efforts.  He is the Founder & Executive Director of Sustain Hawaii and is a partner of Palaka Moon Farm Sustainability Learning Center.

Among his innovations and achievements; Policy Ninja (an advocacy-made-easy suite of web tools); ‘AINAbility (a foodhub, CSA and matchmaking service to help connect soilmates); Hawaii Dept. of Agriculture’s Food System Metrics platform (tracking locally grown and imported foods by acres, weight & dollars through the supply chain, disaggregated as far as feasible with capacity to scale up to accommodate a robust food sovereignty framework anchored by nutrients as a data normalizer); Waltah the Worm (a systems-based educational program akin to a Hawaii version of a sustainability-oriented Sesame Street with experiential STEM-based curricula – “think outside… no box required”); a partnership with Malama Honua charter school to be on our farm & learning center, which integrates all of the above, plus some.

And if that all isn’t enough, Kevin and his wife own and operate Sweet Home Waimanalo, a vegan farm-to-table restaurant that serves amazing new Hawaiian cuisine rich in nutrients and soulfully tasty. When he isn’t diving deep into web code and data he’s likely to be digging deep in the dirt at his farm so we can all enjoy the fruits of his labor!
